I have been playing on Chess.com almost exclusively, however
since TeamLeague has come back online I must get back on FICS and play more
chess. I joined a team and play begins next week, cant wait to get back at it.
Anyway in an attempt to get my RD back under 80 I have
played a few 15 5 games. Here is one of the better ones from my view.
As white I really don’t do much more than play the English,
I will venture out with some QGD and QGA opening but I feel more comfortable
with the English. My comments and annotation is below in the game window,
please leave me a comment below if you wish.
I'm sorry for the color of the comments I will try to work on that and get it fixed.

I have run across this reply on FICS once in a blitz game where I won on time and I had a winning position I was +5 and some change according to Stockfish. 3.Nf3
Nf6
4.e4
Bg4
5.h3
Normal developing moves e4 stops me from fianchetto my bishop on g2, after Bg4 h3 to put it to the bishop, I like to get rid of his light squared bishop since white has a hard time getting out the dark squared bishop, and of course if I can keep the 2 bishops I should stand better in the endgame. 5...Bh5
6.Be2
unpins the Knight on f3 and allows him to take aim at the pawn on c4 via e5. 6...e6
Not sure what he was thinking here but thought that Bc6 would be better protecting e5, with e6 i am thinking he is going to try to a) pin the c3 Knight or try to align the bishop and the queen to attack f2 ( I seem to have run into that a lot in the last few weeks, i won them all execpt one on chess.com slowplay). 7.Ne5
Bxe2
8.Qxe2
A trade of bishops, this was a chance I had to take to get the knight unpinned and I am willing to work with the bishop pair especially since I have two active knights. 8...Bb4

So he is very willing to trade out both of his bishops, while his knights may be a bit stronger I have no opposition to my a pawn pushing up and I have an open file for my Rook on a1. 12...Nc6

14.Bf4
Here I’m trying to get him to weaken his king side pawn structure and to put some pressure on the c7 pawn hoping to keep the queen as its protector or Rc8 allowing me to put some pressure on b7 with Rb1 or Qb2. 14...g5
