I plan to use this blog to document the progress made in my chess
game. This blog will serve as my sounding board and the place where I
will post my any analysis my chess games played on FICS, ICC and any
real life tournaments that I happen to play.
As you will see under
my Bio, I am a new player to competitive chess. My father taught me how
to play when I was a kid and I have played with various amounts of
dedication over the last 30+ years.
In November I started to play more
frequently on FICS, joined the USCF, and found some local chess
hangouts. My game has greatly improved and I see my rating on FICS has
gone up a lot in the last few weeks. One of my favorite things about
FICS this the TeamLeague, I joined for the first time for T57 and have
enjoyed it immensely.
Unfortunately, before I had a chance to annotate any games from the TeamLeague my house flooded and I had to take two months off before I could play chess or spend time studying chess. However, the repairs are completed and now it is time to get to work and improve my chess.
