No Blunders...

Another English Opening :)

As mentioned in the last post, I am making progress in reducing the number of blunders in a game. The below game is one of my better played games over the last few years. I will have to take it with a grain of salt as my opponent who was 400+ points higher rated than me donated half his time to get better points for the tournament. I had 10 minutes and he had 5, this does not diminish the results in my opinion as I still reduced the number of errors and blunders, and he had no blunder until the endgame. Anyway see below for my comments on the game.

This coming weekend I will be playing in my first Over-The-Board (OTB) tournament in close to two years, should be close to 35 people in attendance. I will post my games no matter the outcome in the coming weeks. Until then I will play 1 long time control game a day in preparation for the event I may post a few of these as well this week.

7...Nxc3 This here seems to be a mistake i thought Bb4 would have been better for black.
[7...Bb4 8.Bd2 ]
8.bxc3 Maybe Nxc3 would have been better giving white a better pawn chain in the center. 8...Bxe4 9.dxe4 Qxd1 10.Kxd1 a little nervous being on the the open file but I have time to get the king to safety while he gets his pieces out of the way of the rooks. 10...Bc5 11.e3 Controls d4 11...O-O
[11...Nd7 12.Bc4⩲ ]
12.Rb1 Ke2 or Bc4 surely would have been better here, but with no white squared bishiop i wanted to take control of the half open file. 12...b6 13.Bc4 Nc6 14.Ke2 Ne5 15.Bb3 Rad8 16.f4 Ng4

17.Kf3 this was a mistake e5 takes away all squares for the Knight following up the h3 and the piece is mine or relegated to h6.

19.Bb2+− here I really wanted to exploit the power of the two bishops need to ous e6 and c4 c5 19...Rd3? Not sure what the meaning of this is, it is easliy defended and does nothing to help improve the Knight on e8.

20.Rhe1 c6 ok lets his Knight out
